Our conception

The Miss Mandalay story begins in 2005, when after years of being frustrated with the lack of fashionable and supportive swimwear in her size, our founder Lorraine began working on a triangle bikini for the fuller busted girl. 

“Back in 2005 buying a bikini as a busty 30FF girl wasn’t easy. Yes, there were options – some fit, most didn’t - but none of them had the “look”. I wanted to wear a bikini that made me feel amazing, supported and was stylish, just like the swimwear my smaller busted friends were wearing.”

Here her challenge began, how could she design and produce the perfect triangle bikini? This became her passion, and so whilst working her full-time day job, Lorraine spent long evenings developing bikinis to fit and flatter the fuller bust.

Eighteen months later, in the summer of 2007 the final product was born. The first ever Miss Mandalay bikini came to life and her efforts paid off as the innovative shape became an instant best seller - with iconic retailers such as Bravissimo and ASOS investing in our first collection.

You all loved it so much that within just five weeks it was sold out nearly everywhere.

Our Name 

We often get asked, who is Miss Mandalay? And the answer is you: an ambitious, stylish and beautifully busty woman who’s always striving for that little bit more.

The tale of our name begins in Las Vegas. Having spent time at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, Lorraine was filled with inspiration from the iconic city and this fuelled the creation of her first collection.

Combining this with her initials – Miss Morton – and her love of Las Vegas along with all that it evokes, the brand name Miss Mandalay was created.

Our Mission 

Miss Mandalay began with a clear objective – design a bikini in D-GG cup sizes that didn’t look like a bra!

This is a mission we’ve continued to embark on to ensure that our swimwear has a supportive, comfortable fit as well as bringing the most on trend swimwear in D+ cup-sizes. We strive to source luxurious European fabrics, unique prints and use custom built underwires to develop the ultimate swimwear to compliment the fuller bust and be as beautiful the women that wear them.
